To show a white man at his best,
Fighting against a racist time
And place when and where blacks were deemed
Guilty of any and all crime,
And civil rights were only dreamed.
The book rewritten did become
Equality inspiration.
The fictional hero came from
Second thoughts after first ones done.

Atticus Finch, a racist white,
Got all white washed in the rewrite.
