Revisiting Poem by Richard Quinby

Revisiting

Kissing you today;
Temptation tinged with nostalgia
I felt like a world weary traveler
Warily exploring
An exotic city he once knew so well.

Were you always
So soft and yielding,
Opening to my touch
Like a rare flower
In the tropical sun?

My hands seemed to remember
Each and curve and swell
Of your body.
I felt like some famous explorer
Long retired
Leaving behind the safety
Of his map filled den
And well known streets
To revisit some distant
And well loved land.
