Reveal Me Poem by Kayci Lamb

Reveal Me

you'll find me under the floorboards
reeking of formaldehyde and rosemary
i watch and wait for you
to pick back the wooden planks
reveal me

you'll find me under the ocean
soaking in algae and holy water
i watch and wait for you
to finish my baptism
birth me

you'll find me in the front yard
eating the soil and dandelions
i watch and wait for you
to water my transfixed soul
nurture me

i am nothing
but a rotting corpse
but a self-destructive anemone
but a misleading weed
save me
