Returning (Companion Poem To 'That Day') Poem by Nomad Omnia

Returning (Companion Poem To 'That Day')

Rating: 3.7

There is a God of re-birth
Who saves soft memories
In new minds,
And leads us back
To love.
How else could I remember you?
How else could we look just once,
And know?
We were in love, so long ago.
My arm finds your waist
Your head finds my shoulder
There is no strangeness
Only the warmth
Of two souls
Returning.

(A memory nudged by Sandra Fowler's 'There is a God')

I feel complimented when I think that one of my poems brought back to your mind that warmth between two souls that must have been there all along. A poem worthy to be called beautiful. Always your friend, Sandra
