Results Of Elections- A Reprieve Poem by Dr John Celes

God makes the rulers and unseats them all;
God calls the shots before the verdict's out;
God hears the cries for justice of the poor;
God springs surprises shaming corrupt ones.

The exit polls may be incorrect/ true;
God brings results for good of common man;
He is no silent spectator of crimes;
He punishes the wicked in his time.

God's wisdom cannot be fathomed by man;
Yet, leaders think their maths is always fine;
The crimes against the innocents, God sees;
God catches wrong-doers on their wrong feet!

God sees the hearts of human beings all;
He knows what's best for people everywhere;
No one can win by improper methods;
The righteous win as God supports their cause.

God gave the rain to lessen summer's heat;
God brings the rain to drought-hit states galore;
God hears the pleas and prayers of good souls;
God heals the wounds that doctors cannot heal.
