Resting In The Afterglow Poem by Heather Burns

Resting In The Afterglow

Once again
I enter the
chamber of
silence.

resting for
awhile
renewing my
spirit.

laying the
burdens of
life aside.

One by one
they fall
away

a sudden
peace at
last I
know.

I begin to
realize
the how and
why of life.

as I
rest in the
after-glow.
