Requiem Poem by Poet Teop

Requiem

The sound of trumpets are surrounding me
I can hear it as clear as the sound of my footsteps
So close it's overwhelming
What do they want from me

It's frightening yet calming
As if they are calling for me
I look up at the sky
As if they want me to follow the sound

I'm afraid yet there's a sense of relief
I have no place in this world
The thought of returning home
I know heaven has a place for me

Will he open the gates for me
If i knew beforehand
It would make it so easy
Serenety awaits me i am certain
