Rendezvous Of Dreams Poem by Tess Rockenstire

Rendezvous Of Dreams

Between thunder and rain
I hear my heart thunder.
Like a rhapsody,
As I dream of you.

Insomnia ‘tis eyes gazing
Left me half dreamy
Left me in fantasy,
Your face is what I see.

The orchestra plays, of a romantic melody.
My hand flimsy, as you held me close to you.
Gentle kisses you left on my fingertips.
Perfumed skin, waiting for your caress.

Your familiar face is what I see
Like a statue of liberty,
Erect a promise of liberty.
I stared, and saw gazillion stars,

In your eyes is what I see.
I see freedom, and grandeur day.
I see roses in our future,
I see a rendezvous of constellation.

Sweet is the night,
In my pillow,
As my mind wander,
The purity, the eagerness,
My future is you.
