Reminiscence Poem by David Turow

Reminiscence

It was another time and place,
Another world- beyond this life
Of useless work, repast, and study,
Of worthless peace and aimless strife;

Above this earth- so grey, so muddy;
Somewhere in the clear blue,
The crystal Palace of Nowhere,
That's beautiful beyond compare-
My heart is telling me it's true-
That's where first I saw your face.

It seems it was so long ago,
But no matter where I go-
My heart is telling me, I know-
I always will remember you.
