Remembrance Sunday Poem by Jodie Hardy

Remembrance Sunday

Our freedom we sometimes take for granted
Though freedom doesn't come for free
We live in debt to those who serve
Those we love but cannot see
In years gone by and as we speak
They made a promise they always keep
To keep us safe and keep us free
The cost? Their likes, their loves and lives
So we keep them fresh in our minds
On this day and every other
We remember with pride our fallen brothers
