we are lost in the twilight
no one see's us hand in hand
as the night light fades
and turns from orange to pink,
pink to purple.
your hands in mine,
i can see the world
comprising of newer strangers
of yesteryears
your face is the only one i can see,
clear and so vividly
every line, every crease.
your hair blowing with the breeze.
for every sunset is just time gone by,
which makes the sunrise look so bitter.
ive never been one for words,
so let my hands do the talking,
feel me telling you,
all that i feel,
with a touch and a quiver
let me see your beauty broken down,
take me to a place where its all meaningless,
yet its all profound.
memories flood my mind,
of good time's, bad time's.
times which meant nothing,
yet mean everything.
for it just by chance that i met you,
and you may just slip away,
right in between my fingers
so i live in this dark twilight
hoping that this is all that i will remember.
remember you there, sitting on the grass.
looking at the stars,
seeing my life in front of me.
you with me,
hand in hand,
speaking in silence.
if a heaven does exist,
it exists right here.
in the twilight, in the meadow.
in you, and in your hands.
and so i hold on so tightly
wanting to get a feel of it.
