There is a pain I tried to ignore
Somehow got a hold to hurt me more
If I dispiritedly tried to run
The pain would have fun
If I stayed in one place
It'd just laugh at my face
There's the pain I could have ignored
Somehow got a hold to poke at me more
When I had a good day
It would jump in and play
Though my views were not the same
It insisted to play its heart aching game
