Remember Poem by jacqui fleming

Remember

Remember…..
Remember those who have passed away,
For so long as you don’t forget,
They are not really gone,
They live through you,
You and you alone.

You must never forget them,
So long as you don’t forget they will not be gone,
Even though they may be out of reach,
They are not really gone.
Just because they have moved away,
They are still with you.

You have entered the battle felid against mind and time,
Many battles have been lost before,
But, this is the battle you can’t afford to lose,
Who you must really fear,
Is whose body is a mass of coppery fire with a dagger as a tongue,
Never listen to what he has too say,
He wallows in your pain and despair,
Not caring who he hurts,
For if you do listen,
Your mind will be poisoned and you will surely forget.

But that is not the end,
For there will be a time when we are reunited with them,
But that time is not to wait for and be anticipated,
For the death of a loved one should not stop you from living your life,
They are still with you so long as you remember them,
So live life in peace knowing that they have not really left.
