'Remains Of A Memory'.... Poem by MSI ISS

'Remains Of A Memory'....

Rating: 4.5

This work may not rhyme to most as it is not meant to be. its a state where one may not be able to differentiate between reality and presuming to be in reality. it is a very pleasing experience to remain in the world created by mind and even more fascinating to be living in reality.but to realise that all this time your life had been a reality not the world one had imagined leaves us with very little to say...... i hope you enjoy my work.

In search of lost time
my mind seemed captivated
with reminiscences of the past
which would reconcile self-despair

these contemplation of things
in the past justify weariness
with the rapturous consciousness
of life beyond... self.

amidst these memories
fixed upon the silent scrutiny
was an searching expression
of reality from mirage.

mirage captivating you
with the very first sight laid upon
contrary to my fascinations
reality comes with a conflicting dialogue

with awakening came chaos of deep passions,
the ordeal of my mind
were of a hopeless sorrow
I felt caught up in a reverie of years long past.

amidst this helpless extremity
recapturing the past of relational difference
real occurrence were better than
the ultimate extent of being in dreams

what memories may remain
binding it to the feeling of today
i find no words
yet manage to write all i can.

Living in the past, questionning ourselves constantly, always wondering if we lived our lives well, did we do all that we could do, constantly playing that mind boggling game. Then coming to the realization that what is done is done, nothing else can be done about it and life must go on from here and from this day forward we live life to the fullest with no regrets. Excellent reading Sangeeta, I truly enjoyed the read. --Melivna--
