Phases... Poem by MSI ISS

Phases...

Rating: 4.9

I wrote this long time back …this poem if you go through it may just sound along with words, but to me it has a larger meaning. Maybe I could take you all along with my thoughts…it is an explanation of the life phases from childhood to the end journey…it is the synopsis of the experience of each phase…

Where does one go?
After being in the sea
With soft sand beneath your feet
Along with the fishes & weeds
Where does one go?

Where does one go?
After a long long walk
Through the woods with the birds
Along with the cool breeze and the spring
Where does one go?

Where does one go?
After a phase through the desert
Hot sand hurting your feet
Where heat pierces through you and
Water fails to reach you
Where does one go?

Where does one go after a long long nap?
With dreams soothing you
Holding on to you
Tempting you to be in it forever and ever
Where does one go?

like the repetition; good job, too, weaving a meaning behind the surface. this is my favorite of yours; it bears re-reading!

This well written poem reminds me of an 'evolution' of thought. One's journey from self awareness to awareness of one's surroundings and evironment to achieve an understanding. Good one. L

This is a fabulous poem, well thought out indeed. Starting at the beginning of life in mothers womb, the sea actually depicting the water in the womb, from there to childhood, teenage years moving into adulthood facing trials and tribulations then finally preparing to move on to paradise for a life of eternity, that's the way I see it. Excellent, I enjoyed reading about this beautiful journey, thankyou Sangeeta.--Melinva-
