Relationships Poem by Hayley K...

Relationships

Good to have,
easy to lose.
If one doesn't like the other,
you're doomed.
You want both to be happy,
but it doesn't always work that way.
One says me or them,
the other says themselves don't matter.
The first one says the other's bad,
the other, you're still not sure.
You want to believe both,
and have it all end well.
But you know that won't happen,
one only sees the bad in the other.
The first doesn't know,
how happy the other makes them.
They don't see the light in your eyes,
only the bad done by the other.
The other says they won't do it again,
the first one doesn't believe.
They just won't leave it alone,
and let you be free.
Free to do what you want,
be happy with no consequence.
You want them both in your life equally,
but one must become past tense.
So you make a decision,
with your heart in a break.
But then you have to wonder,
did you make a mistake?
