Rejection Poem by josephine lee

Rejection

Ever since i am a teenage
I have know rejection
When i heard my mum with my aunt
as they talk of me
This they say: Why can't she be normal child like others
Grandma have say since i was a little child
& this she told my mum i later learn
Make me feel like a burden though not in so many word
As i get older, rejection come from dad
Though he don't know how i feel
Whenever he met with something that upset him
It is i who the one he blame
Though not in many words
Always i shut myself in my room
& advoid him if i can
That has been my motto ever since
I know what rejection means
Still this i believe this
He love me in his own way with that gruff voice of his
Though not in many word
I hope i can believe this always

This is work of a very personal interpretation of life. However it finishes with effort at understanding and hope. Well done for bringing this to that conclusion Josehphine, otherwise it would be a sad heartrending piece. You write straight from your heart so I look forward to more of your work. from Fay.
