Reflection Vs Refraction Poem by Amber Luna

Reflection Vs Refraction

still waters of plated glass, stained a pale green/blue
shimmering, pearlescent and reflective in a way that my nature can relate to.
a pane, an ache..you refract me,
bend me out of shape whilst entrapping me in my skin, my limitations
an image not recreated but distorted into whisps which wane
insync with your eyes
placid scintillation which stimulates but a morsel of the mind.
daffodils contorted into heated teeth that act as gums..
gaping, mouthing unspoken fate
colour coded bleakness undone and draped across pins and needles
which never puncture and yet still manages to hinder.
sheer congruency understated, manipulated and forced to render
jaundiced in the company of singed thread which frays into satin
satiaited in blemished intention.
non sensical, a farce
all built into a two way mirror
with minor purpse and action.
