Reflection Of A Year Poem by Samantha Daly

Reflection Of A Year

Golden san taking your form,

Only a few calm souls on it,

Taking the time to admire and accept the

views around them and basque in the

serenity of each passing moment,

to watch the sun setting on the perfectly formed hills.

The town and country, separated in the day,

skyscrapers and lush green fields divided now blend together

in a mix of pastel blue, yellow and orange sky,

the waves keeping that constant pace,

the sound of the sea that could never be repetitive or annoying.

Listen and look.

It's taken a year to be this thankful,

but I'm here and I don't plan on going anywhere,

my home, my life, my salvation,

everything I am is such a tiny part to this world,

there is so much to see and do,

but how long we're here for is unknown,

see, hear, touch, smell and taste it but most of all.....

Live it.
