Red Rock Poem by Annie Mark

Red Rock

It must have been a heaven
In its own right
To have that love
And that laughter
And be that happy
On borrrowed time
On a delicate gossamer thread
I balanced
And tenuous little strands held
That tightrope I walked
I could believe that I deserved you
Or you me
And the dream turned into a nightmare
For I woke up
and you were gone
Fight! Fight! Fight hard!
For me, for you
And a dreaming....
The rainbow serpent will slither
And glide its way
Out of our lives
If we don't rush and jump...
Please.
