Red Glory Poem by Elisha De La Rosa

Red Glory

in slumber
I Created thunder
Reload the gun, I've fed
A War is known to be dead.
Black powder exploits lead
Heavy Explosions are embedded.
A warzone going through my mind
Like reality, war left pieces behind.
I reveal hidden wounds, they'll show
Fruitful in my way, limited I don't know
My body bends backwards, till I'll break
Can't wrap my mind around it, Am I fake?
Self contained war, left many casualties
This battle is won, I can't taste the glory.
A mere reflection, looks nothing like me
An Eerie silence echoes ‘old man's greed.'
Pain roars ‘the call of man's insanity'
Blood lust over iron, seen so plenty.
A Self conflicted man has been torn
This warzone is where I was born.
Reddish black spilled all over
Lives I have easily plundered.
Push me out, encourage me
I won't show any glory.
I will find my own way
Inside my home I'll stay.
IN This freezing chamber
I am IN a drowsy slumber.
I'll remain in the darkness
I'll fade into a slow abyss.
Now it is Time to be awaken
Lives are soon to be taken.
I am the one who ruled, shook
Cradled, rumbled a fellow rook
I am the one, who shown no mercy
I stained this earth, with red glory
