When you're happy you're surrounded by friends
When you're down, just handle it on your own time
The solitude of this life always gets to me
Come in alone, and leave the same way

I try to imagine a world much smaller
Full of friends stumbling over one another
No one cries alone all night
You know everything's gonna be alright

A wounded animal goes off by itself
A neglected lover sits alone on the shelf

Where everyone's not in it for what they can get
