Read If You Can Poem by Heart of Ice Die Die Die

Read If You Can

I asked her to read
so she would understand.
She says okay,
but when I go to hand off my poems
and she denies
and continues to deny.
I know she won't so I forgive and forget.
He used to like me
and we were friends.
Now, he won't stop staring at my legs. (15)
Or my arm. (2)
She used to understand me,
used to love me more.
Now, she misunderstands and criticizes
because she knows that's what
HE wants to hear.
And as for HIM,
I will say no words at all
because HE doesn't deserve them.
As for my broken rainbow,
you stole my heart.
And you couldn't keep it in your grasp.
You don't even KNOW
how much I wish you had.
Here
I will end this terrible pem
and end your misery,
so I can go endure mine.
if you can.
