Reaching Your Goal Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Reaching Your Goal

Rating: 5.0

Setting a goal is something that we all need to do
Mark an ex on the calendar; select a time to arrive
With purpose, you explore and start something new
You will experience valuable lessons as you strive

Along the way you may find steep hills or an eroding beach
Adjustments must be made and a detour is the only way
The goals for the future seems to be just beyond your reach
Breathe slowly for a restoring moment and begin a new day

Your destination may be slightly off the scope of the map
Getting there is done with a series of steps, not just one leap
Achievement is within sight; you are about finish the final lap
As you reach your goal you may have tears of joy and weep
