Rattling Words Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

Rattling Words

Words they rattle in my head,
Around and around they go,
Writing poetry in Praise of YOU,
Sometimes fast ~ sometimes slow.

I cannot stop them,
As LORD, YOU send them to me,
Whatever time in the morning,
Usually around three.

In my Brain they do rattle,
Until onto paper they flow,
How the Verses will turn out,
Only YOU, LORD does know.

My Brain, LORD, is still active,
This is my third poem this morn,
The Night Staff I hear softly talking,
In the Ward ~ outside my door.

I still do not feel like sleeping,
But I do stifle a yawn,
Writing these Poems again, LORD,
Waiting as a New Day dost dawn.
