Rat-A-Tat-Tat, Rat-A-Tat-Tat Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

Rat-A-Tat-Tat, Rat-A-Tat-Tat

Rat-a-tat-tat, Rat-a-tat-tat,
There’s someone at my door,
Rat-a-tat-tat, Rat-a-tat-tat,
Why this sudden encore?

There was no ring at the Entrance Door,
For me to let them in,
So who is now outside my door
Rat-a-tat-tat, a-knocking?

Now, wait a minute, another sound,
Oh No! ! They’ve found my bell,
Ring-a-ding-ding, Ring-a-ding-ding,
Why don’t they go to hell?

I get up from my chair at last,
To go to open the door,
Why no sound for some time past,
No Knock, or Ring encore?

I open the door to find a box,
Not for me, at number four,
But for the flat next door to me,
For my neighbours at number three.
