Random Thoughts On Life Poem by Nosheen Irfan

Random Thoughts On Life

Rating: 5.0

Years piled up in a mound
life's page was smudged
with tears, I washed away pain
on a lonely night in rain

Sometimes a wind blew
to lift me above the mundane
sometimes a rain poured
to cleanse me till I soared

I stood on higher grounds
stripped of my worldly attire
envy, hate, anger, all paled
in the seas only love sailed

Life made me, molded me.
A journey of self-discovery.

Hi Nosheen, Envy, hate, anger, all paled In the seas only love sailed Only an enlightened being can write this. For lesser mortals, it is easier said than done. And love is the antidote for all maladies, as you have correctly identified. Human beings should strive to discern bad from the good. We should try inculcate the value of universal love in all, especially in those who have strayed away from the virtue. Then we shall have who are cleansed of the vices, hatred et al. World should be sable to identify with you in your write: Sometimes a wind blew to lift me above the mundane Sometimes a rain poured to cleanse me till I soared I stood on higher grounds stripped of my worldly attire. Exquisite worded. Till I soared was well-phrased, indicating the mental status acquired by the poet as a result of the cleansing she could do to her baggage of experiences and feelings. Fascinating poem. I am retaining this poem to do a re. Congrats and request to continue writing.

Journey towards spirituality shedding all the materialistic desires and conquering fears and pain. Beautiful poem depicting journey of life. It's law of nature to revive back with new set of mind and heart. Loved every bit of it.10

Nosheen, you live so close to nature, you feel its changes and its routines and your soul responds to them. Amazing in modern day lives where so many live in cities and towns divorced from skin-to-skin contact with the elements of nature. But you are sensitive to your environment and when your life is harmed, challenged, overturned, you are able to heal yourself in nature's rhythms and weathers. Would that all people could. detox in that way. Wonderful write.10

You have a way of writing about yourself that embraces all of us - the voice of the poem is the reader's voice too, and that is a beautiful thing. I agree with what Mohammed said so insightfully below: IT IS A REVELATION BY THE SOUL TO THE BODY. His statement deepens my appreciation of your poem. // I was especially drawn to the way you interwove the human subject and the natural world, beautiful images that reveal the Unity of Life.
