Ramblings Of An Idiot Poem by Matthew Holloway

Ramblings Of An Idiot

Rating: 5.0

I have an unhealthy relationship
With myself
I drink too much and talk absurd
Bring to ruin everything about me
Perhaps I am a little bit mad
But in this world who can say
They are truly sane

Sometimes birdsong
For all it's beauty and magic
leaves me sad, lonely
Reminds me of every mistake
Leaves me counting my regrets

I once had a life near perfect
Few money worries, nothing much
A steady job, home of my own
And a beautiful girl

Somehow, someway I ruined that
Drove her away for little, no reward
leaving me here now, writing
Poetry my souls salvation

And today all I have is this
Unhealthy relationship with myself

Loving oneself is first. Accepting one's faults and self improvement and self love will do someone good when feeling like this. A heartfelt poem that many have felt from time to time, Don't let the hole eat you up! . Have a wonderful day.

Get a brain transplant from an Indian poet. Then you will write better nonsense.
