Rainy Days Poem by Doug Bri

Rainy Days

Words was all you could give to me on this rainy day
Your impact was felt through and through, everyone had felt shame
What was it about me you couldn't leave, you kept calling like as if i would change
What would it matter if i had said yes you have changed.
Sir your still the man i remember way back when.
No time, distance or climb can change your last words to me on that rainy day.

Words was all i could give to you on that rainy day
Your influence in me was deeper then i could ever believe
As the piano played in my head i wanted this to be us
Would it matter if you had said yes I have changed?
Instead here we are face to face in a crowed place.

This wasn't the story i had wished for in the first place,
I misplaced the pen that had written on these pages
Now i couldn't find it to re-wright the last chapter of our lives.
Could it be that you had stolen it to prevent me from

Changing who i could be or who you wanted me to be...
