Rainfall Poem by Jean-Francois Denis

Rainfall

Rating: 5.0

Rainfall over the window, heavily falling
As I stare through it the darkness outgrowing
A moon slowly moving in the dark sky
The stars reflecting in my eyes.

A tear fades with the rain
It is not a feeling of pain
It is a feeling of missing
Making a tear falls on my skin.

Happiness and hope evanesce
My thoughts I caress
My mind reveals you
Tonight, this is everything I can do.

Then I picture you through the window
Your eyes in sorrow
I never thought I would see those eyes
It makes it so hard not to cry.

I try to blink away my tears
But none of them will disappear
I am hoping this was real
But sadly, I have to close the curtains as it is unreal.
