I catch a raindrop upon my hand,
and looking I see,
the eternal outpouring of infinity,
the light of the world captured,
the air of the earth held,
the all in all contained here,
in this wet precious pearl.
I lay it upon my tongue, gently
taking everything in,
mindful of the world's great thirst -
Through the flow
of just one drop of rain
I have tasted the fountain
of all living water.
I have seen the source of illumination.
I have received the breath of God.
Through a single divine droplet
I've learned: Carpe diem -
Smoky, this brings to mind a photograph of my wife's, a single water drop, remaining after rain, on a rose leaf (I think it was) that has in its reflection what looks like an image of earth from outer space. -Glen

What a beautiful poem! Let me quote, 'I catch a raindrop upon my hand, and looking I see, the eternal outpouring of infinity, ----I lay it upon my tongue, gently taking everything in, mindful of the world's great thirst -'
