Rain Poem by shakil ahmed

Rain

Rating: 5.0

Rain

My word doesn't break the silence
An awful silence, that terrifies
My rose doesn't spread fragrance
A much needed fragrance, that beautifies
Sun peeps in the horizon everyday
But in the light, I don't find her
Moon climbs in the sky everyday
But it doesn't shine my chamber
Bird sings sitting in the branch of tree
But it doesn't sing that melody
Wind blows unbounded and free
But it doesn't lift her hair. This is tragedy
Rain doesn't shower, world has become desert
She doesn't wait in the cooling covert
Rain showers in my room along with sighs
Not from the sky, but from my eyes.
