Rain Poem by Bryan Altendorf

Rain

Rating: 5.0

Falling from the skies...
Falling from my eyes…
Thunder and lightning filling up the skies
Lighting brings back memories
Thunder pummels the feeling back
Watching the rain wash things away…

Falling from the skies...
Falling from my eyes…
Sweet friends slowly vanishing
Walking on alone and unsure
From within it kept on pouring
Watching the rain wash things away…

Falling from the skies...
Falling from my eyes…
The clouds are like my soul
They hide the sun, like I hid my feelings
Searching for winds to dissolve the haze
Watching the rain wash things away…

Falling from the skies...
Falling from my eyes…
Untamed, pristine, unique
Justifying, liberating, priceless
The ultimate gift from the heavens
Watching the rain wash things away…

Falling from the skies...
Falling from my eyes…
Even washing away walls, built of stone
Freeing us from the hurt, trapped inside
Allowing change and understanding
Watching the rain wash things away
