Rage Poem by Ragy Sandid

Rage

Rating: 5.0

I'm sorry I'm not your thing
I'm just a human be-ing
I know you have the buttons and the pushes
And your view are the leaves and the bushes

I'm sorry I needed you one day
I'm sorry I called out ‘hey'
"Do you see me" and it seems to me you nodded
Before you had your humanity god-ed

I know I'm supposed to drift with the time
And not even let unnecessary words rhyme
Open gates instead of doors with "everything's fine"
Then find ways to make it fine with a dime

So now you rise and control my demise
Watch me and in each eye a weird sense of surprise
We were never friends you and I, just two people at two sides of the desk
Time and space split them enough for you to call me "grotesque"

Sorry I wasted your time and you mine
You go to be a hero and walk into the sunshine
You damned me to hell and hope I won't do the same
Even in a world beyond ours, what you did really has no name.
