R.I.P Nelson Mandela Poem by Ragy Sandid

R.I.P Nelson Mandela

Rating: 5.0

Nothing is more powerful than a man
More powerful than man with a dream
Most powerful knowing that he can
Make it to the world just what it seems

Nothing is more justified than a fight
More justified than a fight to right a wrong
Most justified when there is no weapon in sight
But the words you use to put things where they belong

Nothing is more sacred than an uphill climb
More sacred than an uphill climb to freedom
Most sacred is the climb that leads to a time
When others see freedom’s flowers in blossom

Nothing is more important than this one race
More important than the race against things that are
Most important when they share a heartless face
That tells everyone else you have no feet nor can go far

Nothing now is more potent than Mandela, Nelson
More potent now in death than in life
Most potent is the change he made in every person
Darkness taken away, flooding in the light.

In the pantheon of admirable human beings who represent the best of humanity Mandela was a beacon of light and the best of man, this is a great tribute. May it be sung
