'Radiance Once More' Poem by R. Ariffin

The morning color was filled with grey
As I watched you closed your heart and shut the door
And kept away all chances and possibilities
I watched as love fall through the floor
Seeping away into emptiness of me and you
Losing faith and reason
In things that we’re supposed to do

If there’s any soul left of this hope
Then let me see its radiance once more, let it show
If there’s a hint of spark that could warm us again
Don’t let it wither and die, my love let it glow
To illuminate the truest certainty that we once knew
So bright and clear and exact
And eliminate all shadows that troubles you

I need the light to see where we’re going
I need to know where our fate would struck
And whether love would still be there to tie our hands
So please don’t leave me wander in the dark
Without reason and without hope to hold on to
Because here in my heart I can only see one thing
That I truly love you, blindly, no matter what you do
