You brought us so much pain
During apartheid
You squashed anyone black, like train
You made the white race
Claim superiority, in the black man's land
While you forced the black race
To be inferior in their homeland
But now we are all free
Now we forgive
Just as we begin to feel free
You claim a chair to live
You, horrible racism, invite yourself in
No one should allow you in
What are you doing in 21st century?
Why continue to put salt in our injury?
Why taking us back to victimization?
Why taking us back to discrimination?
Can't you see that your time has passed?
Racism, this time you won't win!
You filthy thing, you demon - get out!
Our Society is trying to clean
itself, throwing the rubbish out
So racism, stop littering our society
Don't you know, Racism?
That we want nothing to do with you
We value & celebrate Multiculturalism
We have no need for you
We are creating our new reality
‘coz there is strength in diversity
Diversity is now the norm
Where you just don't exist
Unity is now the norm
Where in peace we co-exist
We have become one activist
Against you filthy racism we unite
Away with such labels as black or white
Collaboration is the name of the game
Know my name and I shall know your name
Racism, you must leave
Together let us live!
In harmony let us live!

An insightful depiction of racism as man inhumanity to man; the need for unity in diversity as the only route to further universal brotherhood of man, well articulated and nice penned in good rhyme scheme with conviction. Thanks for sharing Bongiwe. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
