Race Called Life Poem by darlene williams

Race Called Life

I race with life from then till now
Yet I never did get to where I belong
Mother hold me and told me not to rush
Life is just a journey not a race to win
I may pass in many different roads
But it doesn’t change my destiny at all
For destiny is written in my palm
Cannot be ignored cannot be changed
Whatever holds on the future ahead
I’ll take it as challenge to find reality
Where lies the fulfillment of my being
