R.I.P Mr. Olf

Mr. Olf,
Mr. Olf,
You are gone forever,
But ya left behind encouragement to others,
The teachers and students will surely miss you,
You inspired me to do better in the future,
You read my poems,
You said you loved them,
You said I am bright,
That I`m a smart student,
I will never forget those words,
You were my favorite teacher,
But now you're gone,
But never forgotten,
So rest in peace,
One of LIC's best teachers

Poet's Notes about The Poem

I wrote this poem for my teacher Mr. Olf who was once my teacher. He died on 1/21/13. He always loved poems and he read mines and told me how much he loved them. He showed me how to get better to to prepared for the future. he had a warm heart and welcoming smile every day to work or class. So I wrote this poem for him, even though he's not here anymore. Poem of the Day

poet Edmund Spenser

My love is like to ice, and I to fire:
How comes it then that this her cold so great
Is not dissolved through my so hot desire,
But harder grows the more I her entreat?
