" Loyal Warrior" Poem by Albeit Mandianike

" Loyal Warrior"

For i made a vow
And I swore by death
to be loyal to the royal;
ruthless to the powerless
all in the name of being a warrior

i am a protector
of my King's interests.
his wrath unleashes
through my sword
unto my own brothers
For I swore
i can kill my brothers
in the name of loyalty

i am a weapon
used against my brethren
to suppress their desires;
to quench their burning hearts
by blood
Never do they fight back
for we are one
but for me it's different
for I promised i can kill my mother
in the name of loyalty

i am a warrior
shuttering my own dreams
destroying my future
killing my inner self
I love my country;
i love everyone
but im forced to live otherwise
for i swore i can kill anybody
in the name of loyalty
