Quiet Lies Revealed Poem by emergingfrom thedark

Quiet Lies Revealed

Once Was a long time ago,
When hatred was unimaginable
And blood thirst, a monstrosity.
Now I see the fallacies of yesteryear;
I know invaluably good reasons for hatred-
So much hatred could easily quench the blood thirst.
…Am I wrong? Who’s to say? !
Who, here, is without sin?
You may throw the first stone.
No? Where are you going?
Where has the eager, seething judgment gone?
Good. So now, You see the truth behind your façades:
We’re all bloody hypocrites!
So shut your drooling mouths;
Form an eternal dam for the incessant moron-talk.
Once Was too long ago to summon
Back from the shadowed recesses of my cognition;
I cannot recall why I thought
I could drown out such rage With a stronger hatred for myself-
I did fail at such.
Now I see that I am bounded by cruel idiots
And, YES, the hatred wells…
But I now feel free to speak my mind,
And I will often exercise my newfound fortitude! !
