QUESTIONS UNANSWERED
Michel Antoine April 27,2012

I'm going through such changes,
I never know from minute to minute
Whose song will be playing its melody
On my heart, this afternoon. I find it.
Ooh so dark my destiny without you,
Without your hand in mine-do I walk alone.
Do I find these tears still on my pillow-
So deep within my reach were you.
My friend, my lover, my one and only-
Where inspiration and elation ran their course,
With my tormented memories of us.
I know not what the future holds,
Can only guess its promise.
But never want to feel like this
Again, if only the questions held answers.
Two questions I ask of you in my heart-
How could you love me eternally
That lasted only years? And
Where do I go from here? Asks
The poet in my mind-as
He tries to find the perfect rhyme.
He falls short - desperation and despair-
Become his answer-
Encompassing the stronghold on my very day,
It's time the changes do await.
