Questions, Confusion, Love Poem by Selina Gurgacz

Questions, Confusion, Love

Rating: 4.5

I need to know if thou likest me,
For if thou doust not,
Then ‘tis I who has to come to terms with the fact,
And to try to understand that thy feelings for me are falsified.
But if thou likest me, then doust not be afraid to let thy feelings known onto me.
For I shall not ridicule you,
For it is silly if thoust ridiculed someone for whom you fancy.
But either way, I hath not heard even a word from thou.
What hath I done to make thou not speakith a word,
Not a single word to me.
Thou was supposed to meet me in the week that has just past us.
But not a peep.
Thou said some time ago,
A little less than a fortnight before the composition of this,
That thoust will meet me during the day when the church bell doust toll,
And is heard throughout the whole university grounds.
A little over a week from when thoust last spokeith to me.
It doust not matter if thoust liketh me or not,
For I wish to spend some time with thou as a friend.
A friend!
Is there something wrong with spending time with a friend who happens to be of the fairer gender?
But then again,
I spotith thou hanging with people the same as me.
It must be me,
It must.
For I hath done nothing wrong,
Then why ist thou not speakith to me?
Thou is a great friend,
And one never wishes to lose such a friend.
I don’t understand thee.
I don’t understand a friend.
