Questions Poem by Rain Gill

Questions

eyes
turn from blue
to grey
they fill
with imaginary tears
the sadness
emptiness
and loneliness
remains
yet she doesn't
cry
she puts on
a plastic smile
emits a forced laugh
until she can be
alone again
where she can be
free
free to be
sad
free to feel
empty
free to feel
lonely
she has no place
in this world
except for within
the safety
of these four walls
behind closed doors
away from
prying eyes
and questions
she cannot bear
to ask herself

Enjoy all your great poems but this piece definitely touches on something deep within. So easy to relate to. Adding to my list of favorites! ! : -)
