Questions Poem by Joshua Miller

Questions

Is it really a gift from above
this illusive thing called true love
All hope and seek for love so pure
Only a few last they fail with pains to endure

Easy to blame for they ignored the signs
Then close their hearts and shut the blinds
So easy a task be true open your eyes
A number of questions to assist and apprise.

Do you tremble with pleasure at the slightest of touch?
Can you feel your heart jump it scares you so much?
Can you feel the breath passing your neck so slight?
Brushing your skin it makes your hands clench tight?
Little kisses on your body send shocks head to toe?
Words that stop the world and make time go so slow?

These are some of the signs true love is near
Signs you must not ignore are you sure you can hear?
I know what your saying every new romance the answer is yes
Three more questions to prove true love, don't settle for less

For them to be happy will you walk away crying?
Would you give your life to keep them from dying?
If all above questions are yes, then one more for true love to claim
With an honest mind ask, do they feel the same?
When all answers are yes the gates open wide
The prize is true love with nowhere left to hide.
