Putt It Out Of Your Mind Poem by Keith Oldrey

Putt It Out Of Your Mind

Rating: 5.0

Sometimes no matter how hard you try
The hole’s as big as a bucket, but the ball slides by.
Then you have a day
When it goes the other way.
You miss the green and then chip in
Every approach, you don’t thin
The cup welcomes every ball with love
It seems they are guided from above.
What must you do to maintain
This putting sequence that leads to fame?
Pray? Reverse grip? , positive thoughts?
Remember all the tips, you’ve been taught
But do not let them fill your mind
Lest another stroke you must find.
For you can try putters of every shape and name
To reduce your handicap and increase your fame
This single shot of tears and fears
Controlled by the few inches between your ears.
