Purrfect Poem by Lisa Cresswell Wilkinson

Purrfect

Rating: 5.0

In the room I feel your comfort
purring contently and warming the air
Sleeping soundly and gently awaking
The sound of the summer border fayre
Brushing your body onwards and upwards
Preening perfection all around
Your soft subtle coat warms my soul
curling into a little ball

Lisa, OH how I loved this little poem. I wrote a series of short stories about cats from their point of view and even one poem in a similar vein using my own three cats as the characters. They are warm affectionate animals and not as dumb as people think, nor are the loners like they are often portrayed. This is one that is going in my favourites list. Top marks from me. Thanks for sharing it my friend. David
