Pull The Trigger Poem by Rachel Brewer

Pull The Trigger

I felt the gun behind me,
You pushed it against my back.
I knew you would pull the trigger.
You were insane.
We had been through a lot,
You and I,
Through the years we knew each other.
I thought it might end up this way.
You kill me,
Then yourself.
And we would start a new life.
We could change anything we did wrong,
And start fresh.
So pull the trigger,
And get it over with.
