Promise Poem by Ronald Chapman

Promise

Love,
Let's make a promise.

While I am on my trip to that far off land
to the East.
While you remain here in our homeland
in the West.

At six o'clock in the evening by me,
At six o'clock in the morning by you.

I will look out my Western window,
Watching the Sun ending my day.
You look out your Eastern Window,
Watching the Sunrise beginning your day.

And Say,

Hello Sun!

Please shine on my lover today.
