Progression Poem by John Griffiths

Progression

My soul decides what obstacles
That I alone must face,
By giving me a lifetime,
To work at my own pace.

The challenges I encounter,
As I strive to meet my goal,
Is achievement in my earthly life,
And progress for the soul.

If I take the easy path
Avoiding all the pain,
My progress will be halted,
Until I try again.
